Dancehall musician I-Octane who arrived in the country yesterday morning hailed Zimbabweans for their support, promising to leave lasting memories at the gig that will be held at City Sports Centre tomorrow.
He was received at the Harare International Airport by his handlers and some fans.
“This reception is encouraging and people should just expect fireworks at the show,” he said.
Local artistes who will be performing at the show said they are geared up for the show.
Those who spoke to this publication said they were ready to prove their mettle to the fun loving people of Zimbabwe.
Shinsoman who is ridding high with his new album “Best of Both Worlds” said that show will give him time to perform all the songs.
“What I can tell you is you have to come to the show and see how we have upped our game. I am happy that my album is doing well on the local market,” he said.
The musician has a collaboration with Winky D who has been tagged the dancehall musician of the moment following the release of his singles collection.
Titled “Masurvivor” the song has stole the hearts of many music lovers as it encourages the youths to shoulder on with their life despite the difficulties they are facing.
Besides Shinsoman other artistes that are set to thrill fans are Winky D, Sniper Storm, Soul Jah Love, Seh Calaz, Dadza D, Hwindi President, Kinna, Lady Squanda, Judgement Yard, Merciless Zim, Chillspot Records, Chipaz Sound, Templeman and Garry B, DJ Cables, DJ Smily, Fyah Lynx and Leny Matherhorn.
Show organiser Patson Chimbodza said he was happy that the musician was in high spirit.
“He came in full force and I am sure people will love his act. I had a strong discussion with our security details I can safely say people will be safe. Our local artistes have also shown great commitment,” he said.
The show is likely to attract thousands of music lovers as the venue has become popular with reggae and dancehall.
