iG brings convience and value to customers

CONSUMERS have quickly embraced the new currency, Zimbabwe Gold (ZiG) with more excitement being shown by people shopping in different retail outlets.

Recently the Government introduced the ZiG, a new currency which is backed by gold and other precious minerals.

As people embrace the new currency, consumers have said it has brought relief and in a snap survey done by the Business Chronicle, consumers showed understanding in using the new currency.

“We are happy that we now have a new currency which we hope and believe that it will remain strong as it is now.

“The struggle of using big numbers has been solved and the ZiG is easy to understand as it has very few digits,” said Ms Sithabisiwe Ncube, a customer who was doing her shopping in one of the established retail shops.

“However, we still need to continue learning about this new currency so that we understand it better and avoid being scammed out there.”

The market has already embraced the new ZiG currency following its introduction with businesses and service providers now able to transact with the gold-backed medium of exchange.
