SCOTT Vincent says he really appreciates the support he has got after he officially completed one of this season’s most compelling comeback stories.
By finishing at the top of The International Series Rankings, the Zimbabwean star has reclaimed his LIV Golf spot, through the very same pathway that first launched him onto the global stage in 2022.
“It’s amazing, really amazing,” he said. “This pathway is incredibly competitive and quite narrow. Back then, only one player made it through; this year, it was two. So to earn my way in through the same route feels unique and pretty special.”
Throughout the season, Vincent’s form trended steadily upward.
His breakthrough victory at the International Series Morocco in July marked a turning point, and a runner-up finish in Jakarta reinforced that he was firmly in contention for a return to LIV Golf.
“The win in Morocco was the first moment where it felt like it could happen,” he said. “Then Jakarta made it feel even more likely, almost like, ‘Wow, this really might be on the cards.’ But even then, I just tried to focus on playing well each week, learning, growing, and preparing myself for whatever the next year had in store.”
After securing the International Series Rankings title and reclaiming his LIV Golf place, the support that followed meant just as much as the achievement itself.
“Quite a few LIV guys I’ve played with have reached out,” Vincent shared. “Some really meaningful messages. I’m very thankful for all the kind words people have sent.”
