IMF to monitor Zim’s economic programme

towards making the country eligible for external borrowing.

The programme, covering the period April-December 2013, is an informal agreement between country authorities and Fund staff to monitor the implementation of the authorities’ economic program.

It is Zimbabwe’s first IMF agreement in more than a decade and do not entail financial assistance, Lagarde said.
