A 26-YEAR-OLD man decided to mix bloodlines with bedroom talk, telling his cousin he wanted to sleep with her.
Iwani Dube, appeared before Plumtree magistrate Joshua Nembaware facing charges of threatening to have sexual relations with his 32-YEAR-OLD cousin.
According to prosecutor Sheila Nyathi, on 14 October around midday at Madabe Business Centre. Out of the blue, Dube told his cousin that he wanted to have sex with her.
At first, the cousin brushed it off and told him to stop talking nonsense since they were related. But later that night, as she sat alone in her homestead, her blood ran cold when she remembered his creepy words.
Scared that Dube might actually do it, she decided to report the matter to Dube’s mother the next morning. But when she arrived, guess who was sitting there like a bad dream? Dube himself!
He allegedly looked her straight in the eye and repeated the threat, warning that he would “come for her” and even beat her with a switch if she refused.
That was the last straw. The woman ran off and reported the matter to the police, leading to Dube’s arrest. He has been remanded in custody to 28 October.
