Indiscipline costing us big time, says Bosso star

HIGHLANDERS defender, Andrew Mbeba, believes lack of discipline among players is one of the reasons they are on a frustrating winless run in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.
Bosso are on a six-game winless run. Their last victory coming against CAPS United at Barbourfields on April 28.

“The blame is on us as players. We are not disciplined. Indiscipline is our main setback. We are having many suspensions as well. In almost every game, we are missing a key player and that is disturbing our combinations.”
Last season, Highlanders had 37 points at the mid-season point. This season, they have managed 23 points from 15 games and cannot match that tally with two games remaining.

“Our defence is not as solid as it should be. We are conceding in each and every game, and that is not doing us any good. We do not have the combinations and the compactness at the back. We did not lose many players from last year. We were supposed to pick up from where we left last season. We should be better than this.”
Mbeba says he prefers playing as a right-back.

“I think I am more useful to the team as a right back. When I am playing right back, I will be more involved in the game, creating chances and assisting as well. When I am right back I will be defending and attacking. But when I am playing centreback I will be defending only.”
However, Mbeba is positive Bosso will bounce back to winning ways.
