Industry Minister dates Bulawayo businesses

INDUSTRY and Commerce Minister, Nqobizitha Mangaliso Ndlovu, will meet businesses in Bulawayo today as the city hosts the Competition and Tariff Commission (CTC) conference.

The event is being organised as part of global Competition Day celebrations under the theme: “Digital Economy Innovation and Competition”.

The commission said in a statement that official proceedings would start this morning at 8AM at a local hotel.

It said attendance was free and invited members of the business community, legal fraternity, Government ministries and departments, regulatory authorities, academia and consumers to participate.

CTC is a statutory body established under the Competition Act [Chapter 14:28], to implement and enforce Zimbabwe’s competition policy and law as well as to execute the country’s trade tariffs policy.
