Minister of Industry and Commerce Nqobizitha Mangaliso Ndlovu is today (Wednesday) scheduled to deliver a public lecture at Bulawayo Polytechnic, focusing on harnessing student potential, innovation and entrepreneurship.

The lecture will bring together students drawn from various faculties, providing them with an opportunity to engage directly with policymakers on issues affecting industry, enterprise development and Zimbabwe’s economic transformation agenda.

Such interaction between policymakers and students is critical in bridging the gap between policy and the aspirations of young people, who are central to driving innovation and creating jobs.

It also gives students a platform to understand Government programmes and opportunities available to support entrepreneurship.

On the other hand, foe policymakers, direct engagement provides valuable insight into challenges confronting young innovators and entrepreneurs.

The exchange has potential to shape more responsive policies while encouraging students to translate academic knowledge into practical solutions that contribute to industrialisation and economic growth.
