Injured Muzarabani ruled out of Pakistan T20 series

ZIMBABWE’S fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani has been ruled out of the upcoming T20 international triangular series to be held in Pakistan next week because of a back injury.

Muzarabani is the most notable omission in the 15-member squad for the upcoming also featuring Sri Lanka. Newman Nyamhuri is coming in as his replacement.

The teams are using the event as part of the build-up to next year’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

Led by captain Sikandar Raza, Zimbabwe will open their campaign against hosts Pakistan in Rawalpindi next Monday, before facing Sri Lanka at the same venue two days later.

Zimbabwe will then travel to Lahore for their remaining round-robin fixtures – meeting Pakistan again on November 23 and Sri Lanka on November 25.

The top two teams on the points table will contest the final on November 29 in Lahore.
