INNSCOR Africa subsidiary, The Buffalo Brewing Company, is considering establishing a new manufacturing plant to meet growing demand from customers for its Nyati sorghum beer product.

One of Zimbabwe’s biggest conglomerates, Innscor, is a focused group of light manufacturing businesses that, together with various strategically integrated agricultural operations, produce some of Zimbabwe’s iconic brands in the consumer staple product space.

TBBC managing director Mr Richard Mann revealed this at the launch of the company’s brand campaign codenamed “For Those Who Craft Their Own Path.”

He said that the company aimed to boost its production capacity and meet growing customer demand as well as its share of the domestic sorghum beer market.

In an interview, Mr Mann said expansion would enable TBBC to solidify its market position, drive business growth, and continue to meet the evolving demands of its customers.

“Nyathi is one of Zimbabwe’s iconic brands in the country, and we would want to continue connecting with our market.

“At the moment, we have the second-largest market share of all the sorghum breweries in the country, and we are considering expanding and establishing another line so that we can grow our market share. Our initial drive is growing bigger,” said Mr Mann.

Expanded production capacity would enable TBBC to reduce backlog, improve delivery times, stay ahead of competition and drive long-term growth.

TBBC said the ‘‘For Those Who Craft Their Own Path’’ campaign, launched on September 12, was a tribute to dreamers, doers, builders, those who work with their hands, push beyond limits and shape their future one determined step at a time.

Also running under the hashtag #CraftYourOwnPath, the campaign is a nationwide brand campaign to celebrate real Zimbabwean stories, the spirit of the hustler, the pride in hard work and the quiet power of perseverance.

Mr Mann said the campaign honoured the everyday men and women who are crafting their lives with grit, passion and purpose ‘‘stitch by stitch’’.

“Our consumers are our heroes; they do not wait for opportunity, they build it. This campaign is for them. Nyathi is brewed with the same craft, care and conviction as the people we serve,” said Mr Mann.

The campaign launch was attended by key stakeholders, media representatives, creatives and friends of the brand.

TBBC was established in 2021 as Innscor Africa’s first manufacturing investment into the broader alcoholic category.

It entered the opaque beer market with the Nyathi brand in December 2022, introducing a 1.25 litre Regular Sorghum Beer.

In March 2024, TBBC unveiled the Nyathi Baobab flavour variant, a bold and innovative addition to delight its customers’ taste buds and elevate the brand’s offerings.
