ALL is set for the inaugural inter-city sports gala to be hosted by Harare City Council at Belgravia Sports Club today.

The event will see towns around the capital like Chegutu, Kadoma, Norton, Chinhoyi, Bindura, Ruwa, Marondera, Chitungwiza and Epworth showcasing their sporting talents in different disciplines.

The teams will battle in soccer, netball, volleyball, chess, tug-of-war, pool and darts in both men and women categories.

Harare City principal spokesperson Michael Chideme said the tournament was aimed at building a family unit and creating a good platform where local authorities can exchange ideas.

“We will be promoting service delivery through sport and building excellence as a healthy body does better on the work front.

“Winners at the competition will walk away with prizes and trophies,” he said.

Chideme urged people to come in their numbers to support the Games.
