International business strategist billed for Mutare conference

ZIMBABWEAN international business transformation and investor relations strategist, Mr Zwelibanzi Ndlovu, will be the guest speaker at a business conference to be held in Mutare next month. The evening conference organised by local consultancy firm, Sterling Consultancy, will be held on September 5 at Amber Hotel. Running under the theme: “Unraveling the individual’s ability to exceed organisational goals through personal transformation,” the conference is set on buttressing growth in the manufacturing sector through nurturing internal, self introspection of executive management.

Sterling Consultancy spokesperson, Mrs Chipo Mandala, said the conference would be an eye-opener in the wake of the depressed business economy in the country which needs creative solutions to capsize.

“Companies are facing several challenges and often most organisations focus solely on corporate transformation. However, dealing with issues of the organisation without empowering individuals to deal with their personal circumstances is a missing link most companies are overlooking. Our distinguished guest speaker specialises in transformation leadership and investor relations, which is key to unlocking the growth potential in most businesses. This conference seeks to address how to personally deal with the environment we have been cornered into in Zimbabwe,” said Mrs Mandala.

Mrs Mandala said one of Mr Ndlovu’s perceptions on transformation leadership was that no meaningful economic transformation could take place in any organisation unless individuals in that organisation are personally transformed.

She said the workshop would be key for executives, directors, chief executive officers, chief financial officers and managers.
“A mistake has been made over the years of assuming that if one is an executive or manager they are also leaders and that their associates will automatically follow.

“A leadership title is more complex and broader than most people think. This workshop will impact personal transformational leadership which results in performances that exceed organisational expectations,” said Mrs Mandala.

She said there would also be marketing platforms for other companies at the event through banner displays, brochures and brief PowerPoint presentations.
Mr Ndlovu is the founder and president of Stop to Start International, a transformation leadership and investor relations firm.

He is also the CEO of Zedesen Africa Ltd, an Information and Communication Technology consulting company.
He was recently appointed as chairman of Chengetedzai Depository Company, based in Harare, Zimbabwe.

Some of his previous positions include director of IT consulting at KPMG-Peat Marwick and regional director of SAP Africa, an international leading firm in enterprise management software.

Mr Ndlovu’s international assignments include speaking and consulting extensively to executives and industrialists on change management in various countries including the United States of America, the United Kingdom, France, India, Sri Lanka, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates.

In Africa, Mr Ndlovu has conducted both consultancy and speaking engagements in various countries including Nigeria, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Uganda, Tanzania, Eritrea, Ethiopia and Kenya.

Mr Ndlovu developed and copyrighted his own transformation management system called Stop. The system has been used to deliver various transformation projects for large corporations such as Coca-Cola, SAP, International Finance Corporation, Safaricom, Nairobi Stock Exchange, Mitchell Cotts Kenya, MTN, Uganda Securities Exchange, Africom, African Regional Intellectual Property Organisation (ARIPO) and Lupane State University to mention a few.
