Investment Indaba to boost growth and infrastructure in Matabeleland North

THE Matabeleland North Investment Indaba has commenced in Umguza District, offering a platform for potential investors to explore the province’s investment opportunities.

The event aims to boost investment and income, ultimately enhancing citizens’ welfare by contributing to increased GDP growth in line with Vision 2030.

In his remarks, Provincial Director for Economic Affairs and Investment Promotion in the Office of the President and Cabinet, Mr Godfrey Mkwakwami, said the province is rich in natural endowments hence the need for investments that will unlock the province’s potential.

The two-day programme has started with a panel discussion on infrastructure development.

The panel, comprising the Zimbabwe National Road Authority, IDBZ, construction sector players, and the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure Development, will facilitate a broader discussion on funding and other key issues in infrastructure development.

Infrastructure development is said to be the key component in promoting investment.
