Irresistible faith trusts in God

relates and receives from God is the principle of faith. Faith is the hand that receives from God.
Without it no-one can please God. It is only the power of faith that can give hope to a hopeless and beyond-reach circumstance. For example diagnosed with a terminal and life-threatening disease, emotionally broken down due to life’s pressures; haunted by an aggressive and hurtful past; financially crippled and making little progress or merely going through a rough patch in life! This article is for you. Discover how in the midst of all the turmoil, irresistible faith trusts God and breaks the doors open! It is able to bring life, joy and a breakthrough in that area of death, gloom and pain.

In the past two works we were looking at the three Hebrew boys, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego and how through irresistible faith they managed not only to contain a hard and big situation but also had it turned around resulting in their promotion and honour above others.

Irresistible faith gives you beauty for ashes and turns around the hardest of situations.
However, this week I would like you to realise one crucial key about irresistible faith — irresistible faith works with trust in God.  The three young men apart from their firm faith in God, they trusted God. They did not mind the people, the mockery, the king’s approval or even the fire for their faith was anchored in God and God alone.

Generally people have some sort of trust, although it’s just that they trust the wrong things. Some believe God can do a miracle for them, but at the same time keep charms and clinch to “things” and substance believed to be sources of good luck.

Friend, the kingdom of God does not function that way. Irresistible faith does not need back up or “extra” help. It believes God and takes Him at his word and His Word alone.

Irresistible faith stands on the Word of God. Some people have also put their trust in people. They can believe and pray to God yet fix their eyes and attention on man for answers. You will be disappointed if you do so, or end up with hatred and bitterness over loved ones or anyone you thought should have helped you.

Irresistible faith, prays to God, waits on God and receives from God — despite any channel or vessel He chooses to use. Its focus is on God and His Word and not on man.

Man can be a means of encouragement or reinforcements of our faith in God; hence the need to gather and meet with other people who have faith in God yet our sole trust is anchored in God alone, Hebrews 4:10.

John 11:21-26 tell us of an account of Martha, Mary and Lazarus who was raised from the dead by Jesus, “then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. But I know, that even now whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it to thee. Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again. Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day. Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.”

Lazarus, brother to Martha and Mary had died. Prior to that Jesus had been sent a message calling him to pray for Lazarus while he was still sick. On this verse all hope seemed over now. The man has died. “Had Jesus been there Lazarus would not have died” reasons Martha.

However, upon further conversing with Jesus she finally declares (irresistible faith declares what it wants), “But I know even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it to thee.” It was trust in God in the toughest of situations since Lazarus had already died. Friend is your business dead?
Or your marriage, academic life, health, finances and any area of your life motionless and with no sign of progress?

I have good news for you; with trust in God, irresistible faith can bring back to life that which is dead in your life.  It can resurrect your desired area. What’s the key then? Trust in God! Trust in God I repeat!

When you trust in God, give no room to doubt or negative things. Keep rooted on the Word of God and it will come to pass. You may have been believing God for a car, a house, or a breakthrough in marriage and relationships or whatever key area, the secret in trusting God is to refuse to doubt.

Upon being told to roll the stone away in faith, as Jesus was about to do the impossible, Martha cautioned Him, “Lord by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days” John11:39.
No-matter the pressure, refuse to doubt or think twice about your miracle. Go for it. God is able. God can do it. Irresistible faith does not think twice, it goes for the Word of God and the Word of God alone.

No wonder Jesus answered her “Said I not unto thee, that if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?”

You can see the glory and hand of God in your disheartening marriage and even on your wayward and misbehaving children.

Believe God. Trust Him and take Him at His word, “. . . all thy children shall be taught of the Lord, and great shall be the peace of thy children”  Isaiah 54:13. His Word is true. Trust it. Let resurrection come your way in Jesus name.

I have prayed today that as you read this article the resurrection power of God; touch all that is dead and have been a burden in your life. I have prayed that your marriage be restored; that your health, your children and family, your projects, your business, your plans, goals and your vision be resurrected and succeed in Jesus name.

Even though he was dead four days and smelling, Lazarus rose from the dead. Trust in God resurrects things in life.

Your health can be restored. If you just make a choice and a commitment to trust God and declare, I will not die but live to declare the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

You may have been told May is your last month to live, friend! Irresistible faith refuses to die. May is a good month and your month! Refuse to be moved.

Trust God. Do you trust Him? I persuade you today to trust Him. You can even trust Him with your life, surrendering to Him as Lord of your life by praying out the prayer below; “Lord Jesus come into my heart. Forgive me of all my sins. I confess you as Lord of my life and that you died for me on cross and resurrected on the third day. With you grace, I will live for you all the days of my life, Amen.”

Congratulations! If you have just prayed this prayer grace has come your way and expect the same resurrection power that rose, Jesus from the dead, to begin to work in your life and all that you do.
God bless you.
