IS Daniel Msendami the next Warriors star to move back to the Castle Lager Premiership?
The winger could leave SA champions Orlando Pirates on loan just months after joining, with several teams showing interest.
Msendami might join Scottland.
According to reports from KickOff, the Buccaneers are expected to discuss Msendami’s future as part of their ongoing transfer business, with a loan move emerging as the most likely option ahead of the new season.
Msendami only arrived at Orlando Pirates from Marumo Gallants earlier this year, following an impressive spell in the Betway Premiership and strong performances for the Warriors.
Msendami faced a challenging first season at the Soweto giants as he battled for game time in a highly competitive squad.
Despite the pressure of adapting to a new club, the Warriors international also had to cope with the emotional pain of losing his child during the season.
His title medal now represents more than just football success, but also a personal tribute to his late daughter.
Shortly after Pirates secured the championship, Msendami shared an emotional message on his WhatsApp status alongside a picture of himself and his late daughter.
“This is for you my child,” he wrote.
The player lost his daughter in March when she was just two months old.
Msendami’s football journey has not been straightforward.
The talented winger progressed through the junior ranks at Highlanders but failed to break into the club’s senior team.
He experienced his major career breakthrough after moving to Botswana’s Jwaneng Galaxy in 2022, where he won two consecutive league titles and was named the 2024 Botswana FA Cup Player of the Tournament.
He eventually earned opportunities in South African football, where he continued to grow into one of Zimbabwe’s promising attacking players. – thesouthafrican.com
