IS this the busiest season ever for the Chevrons?
Just after taking part in the T20I tri-nations series in Namibia, where they reached and lost the final, the Chevrons will plunge into an ODI series in the UAE next month.
Afghanistan and Bangladesh will be their opponents in the T2OI series.
The Chevrons’ first game will be against Bangladesh on October 17 before they take on Bangladesh two days later.
The final will be played on October 23.
Their lengthy stay in the UAE will also see the Chevrons play a Test series against Afghanistan.
ZC Managing Director, Givemore Makoni, says the tour of the UAE next month is a key part of their programme this year. “This is an important tour for Zimbabwe, offering our players high-quality competition across all three formats,” he said.
“The ODI tri-series will test us against two strong sides, while the two Tests are especially valuable as we continue seeking more regular opportunities in the longest format. He also spoke about the two-Test battle against Afghanistan.

To highlight how the Chevrons have been very busy this year, one just needs to look at the difference, in terms of matches, which they have played when compared to the Warriors.
This year alone, the Warriors have played just FOUR international matches against India, Zambia, Botswana and Nigeria.
In contrast, the Chevrons have played TWENTY ONE international matches since the start of the year with more coming in the next few months.
They have also played two warm-up matches while one World Cup match, against Ireland, was abandoned.
