It’s a passing game battle

IT’S a passing game battle at Mandava as FC Platinum host Triangle. Both teams expect a tough outing.

Norman Mapeza, FC Platinum

“Hats off to Kelvin Kaindu, he has brought stability at Triangle; they are performing well, but we cannot afford to lose at Mandava if we are to be taken seriously.

“We have been performing pretty well at home in recent weeks and we need to continue with that positive attitude for us to get the three points.

“My only worry is our away form: we should now start picking points on the road and I am confident my boys will respond.”

Kelvin Kaindu, Triangle

“Our away form has not been impressive, but that has also been partly due to the state of some of the turfs we have played on.

“You look at how we lost at Lafarge, drew away to Buffaloes: it was mainly because the turfs did not allow us to play our normal game.

“This is the first time we are playing an away match on a perfect football pitch; so, probably it could be an advantage, but I wouldn’t want to take anything away from FC Platinum.

“It is not going to be easy at all against FC Platinum, whom I believe are one of the title contenders and I know what they are capable of doing. They have home advantage and will definitely try to use it.

“My squad is depleted, I have a number of players injured. The likes of Richard Kawondera, Praise Tonha, Jimmy Dzingai and Cabby Kamhapa are all injured, while Pascal Manhanga is also doubtful.”
