RAPPER Stunner says he has been on a wild ride, in the past decade, through the storms and the sunshine he has been driven by his passion to create art that inspires, uplifts and connects Zimbabweans.
The Tazoita Cash Records boss also feels the decade has seen some of the most innovative and impactful artistry on the local musical scene and feels privileged to be part of this thriving community.
Stunner said he was truly humbled after he was honoured at the Zimbabwe Community Trailblazers Awards ceremony in Harare on Friday night.
Stunner picked two gongs at the ceremony, including one for his contribution to the local rap music scene, where he was named Artist of the Decade.
“This decade has been a wild ride, filled with ups and downs, twists and turns. But through it all, I’ve been driven by a passion for creating art that inspires, uplifts, and connects us,” he said. This is an incredible honour.
“I am truly humbled to be standing here tonight, accepting this award as Artist of the Decade.
“Zimbabwe, I want to start by thanking my team, who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to help me bring my vision to life.
“Your dedication, expertise, and passion are what make me look good, and I’m forever grateful. To my fellow artists, I am so inspired by your talent, creativity, and perseverance.
“This decade has seen some of the most innovative and impactful artistry in history and I feel privileged to be part of this community. To my fans, your love and support mean the world to me.”
He added:
“Your energy is what fuels my creativity, and I’m so grateful to have you on this journey with me. And to my family, who have supported me every step of the way, thank you for your unwavering love and encouragement.
“This award is just as much yours as it is mine.
“I’m so grateful for this recognition, and I will cherish it always. Thank you again to the academy, and thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey. Here’s to the next decade!”
