The third term has come to an end, most students are done with their exams and it’s time to relax as they reflect on the progression of the year .For many it is time to say goodbye to those people they were used to seeing everyday for years in class or probably never meet again in life. A perfect goodbye for such in many schools is the leavers’ party. Students were asked to say their views on leavers’ parties and they had different reactions.
The significance of a leavers’ party is to help to refresh our minds especially regarding the fact that we had just written the demanding examinations. It also gives us time to get together with our former classmates for the last time as students.

Room for students to say goodbye to one another in form of a party is so magnificent as it creates favourable reminiscence of school life with your friends. Also these parties are a source of entertainment which chase away stress in a student’s mind, physical and talent practices through dancing and singing entertaining songs.
However, these parties are not necessary because some students drain their parents’ money as they lie giving false importance of these parties. Most of the time these parties are done in secret places and in the evening hence creating extreme luxuries which result in early child marriages as students become over excited to an extent of lacking reasoning capacity leading to sexual activities.

It’s necessary because we will be saying goodbye to our friends and refreshing our minds and the magnificent do it in a form of a party in order to chase away stress but the parties are not necessary because some lie to their parents in order to spend their parents’ money unnecessarily.

In my perspective leavers’ parties are necessary for the enhancement and entrenchment of friendships as you won’t be able to see some of the people ever again, so it’s not just partying for the sake of doing so but it’s for a due cause if illustrated with the right manners and initiated in the right attitude. Because it is important to note that “when the value of a thing is not known then abuse is inevitable”.

These leavers’ parties aren’t necessary at all as they lead to unnecessary behaviour and even pregnancy in young girls. These children will enjoy themselves leading them to drink alcohol and being irresponsible, so I don’t think that we should have these leavers’ parties.

Leavers’ parties are important. They help the brothers and sisters relax their mind and forget about the exams for a moment. There are also other students who do not know much about the outside world, these parties help in exposing these pupils. However, these parties are not really necessary as pupils think they are. This is because most mischievous acts start at parties, like drug taking, sexual activities and fights. Hence to some students, leavers’ parties are OK but to others, they are not, one will have to decide whether to do it or not depending on their response to such occasions.

Significance of leavers’ parties is that they are stress relievers, and get together time for young people of the same age and having a great time to socialise with others, however, those parties are meant for joy only and everything is out of bounce because no-one is there to take control of the situation. Due to circumstances they do whatever they think is necessary to make those parties funny.
Hence this may also cause things like unplanned marriages, unplanned pregnancies and as a result some may not stick to their future ambitions. Due to the fact that no one is in control of the situation, so many accidents do happen. There as those who drink alcohol and may end up hurting each other.
Some may lose their ambitions because of peer pressure from others as a way of making fun during those parties. Some may end up taking drugs, alcohol, smoking which may be harmful to them and may end up in jail.

Leavers’ parties are not necessary because there is a tendency of over excitement with the students. This may lead to unwanted pregnancies because it will be like we want to party for the last time. The last minute is always dangerous. There has been a series of issues where students are caught in uncompromising positions and some coming back with pregnancies.
Leavers’ parties are necessary but need to be carried out under great surveillance from teachers. The main purpose for leavers’ parties is to have fun with your mates for the last time, however, I think they aren’t good for students because they promote a lot of misbehaviour. They are necessary but with the assistant of teachers.
