PARADZAI Mesi’s handlers are grateful to well-wishers who are giving them both moral and material support.
The Njerama Boys leader grabbed headlines last month after he allegedly broke into a shop in Glendale and stole some groceries.
Following his arrest, sympathisers and promoters pampered him with gifts and vowed to assist him to return to work.
Mudiwa Hood came to Papa Para’s rescue when he clothed him and bought some groceries.
He also secured decent accommodation for him and his family.
Mesi’s manager, Andy Jusa, believes it’s now time to work.
“We have seen and felt the love fans have been giving us.
“Some pledges are still coming and we are grateful to Mudiwa Hood, who led the campaign to help Para.
“Now that the dust has settled, it’s now time for us to focus on our job.
“We need to build on the love and faith shown by our fans who came to our rescue.”
Jusa believes the best way to thank the fans is through polished performances.
“The kind of support that we received was overwhelming and we can only thank our fans and friends by delivering the best shows.
“Our fans deserve the best from us and we can’t afford to disappoint them after all that they have done for us.
“We are also ready to empower other upcoming artists along the way,” he said.
Jusa believes Para can still hit the heights.
“We have never doubted him and the talent that he has.
“He has been holding rehearsals and those who attended our recent shows can testify.
“On Saturday, we are performing at Padviva in Dzivaresekwa Extension.
“We are honoured to be part of the event and we are simply promising the best.
“Cyclone Njerama is back and fans should come up in number for this particular event.”
The singer, who turns 51 on June 2, has over the years been a victim of self-inflicted problems.
His love for booze, women and the good life, is well documented.
He rose to prominence between 2000 and 2010 when he churned out hits like Tiri Huruva, Ushe Madzoro, among others.
