JAH PRAYZAH ANSWERS  HIS ARMY OF CRITICS

Laura Maposa

SUPERSTAR Jah Prayzah has dropped a record dubbed ‘Mandionei,’ which appears to be aimed at his critics who keep bashing him for receiving gifts.

The song was released yesterday around 10 am.

‘Mandionei’ has lyrics where he asks his fans why they hate him and why they keep comparing him to other artists.

Part of the lyrics read:

“Mandionei, munondisaiza mandionei

“Hondo yese yamunorwa munorwei, mukandisiya munobvei.

“Muchano pengera kwamakatenga fodya.

“Makuti makurema munoremerera kunyangwe vanorema.

“Mukangangamwa kutenda vairema….vakashevedza hamuchadairi.

“Kundishora Mandionei

“Munongonongedza pandiri ndakuitei.”

Jah Prayzah publicly thanked businessman Wicknell Chivayo for the gifts which he and his colleagues received last year.

However, he provoked the ire of social media followers.

Chivayo bought him a US$180 000 S500 Mercedes Benz.

Last year Chivayo rewarded Jah Prayzah and his female dancers with cars and US$20k cash after a spectacular Harare Shutdown performance.

He also gifted him with an Aqua car for his son Mukudzeyi Jnr’s school run. Recently he gifted the superstar musician with a 2025 Range Rover.

This generous gesture came after Jah Prayzah faced significant backlash for praising Chivayo in a heartfelt social media post.

The Mudhara Achauya hitmaker had posted on social media a heartfelt ‘thank you poem’ to show appreciation to Chivayo.

Some people said it was “spot on” while others described it as “rubbish”, telling the musician to “focus more on his music career.”
