AWARD-WINNING music sensation Jah Prayzah is heartbroken after learning of the tragic deaths of two young fans, Anotida Maziriri and Edmore Mafuwe, who died in a car crash while travelling to attend his show in Canada.

The star, who is on his North America tour, took to social media to express his pain, revealing that the two fans were en route to his concert when disaster struck.

“They had travelled far, simply to share a few hours of music and connection with us. To think they never made it to that moment hurts in a way I cannot explain,” Jah Prayzah wrote.

The fans’ journey, which was meant to be a celebration of music, ended in sorrow. Jah Prayzah, visibly shaken by the news, promised to personally visit the grieving families when he returns to Zimbabwe.

The Canada show was part of Jah Prayzah’s international tour which has seen him perform in a number of cities, drawing thousands of fans from the Zimbabwean diaspora and beyond.

“Ndirikurwadziwa nekuchema pamwechete nemhuri dzavo. A journey that was planned to create only good memories became a journey that only left us with grief,” added the singer.

As fans mourn across the globe, the tragedy serves as a painful reminder of the deep connections music creates — and the unimaginable losses that sometimes come with it.

Rest in peace, Anotida and Edmore.
