Whenever a musician releases good album, fans throng live shows to see the artiste performing the new songs on stage.
Some musicians usually spice up the new songs with new dances and stage work to bring a different feel to a new project and show creativity.
Excitement, thrills and entertainment become the order of the day whenever there is a concert where an artiste introduces new stagework to celebrate a new album.
That is likely to be the case tonight when musician of the moment Jah Prayzah bids his fans a farewell at Dandaro Inn in the capital.
Jah Prayzah is set to perform at a concert at Maher Centre, United Kingdom, on June 27.
His latest album, “Jerusarema”, has since gained ground and songs “Chinamira” and “Tiise Maoko” have already become hits.
The musician said tonight’s show was a special show as he says goodbye to his local fans.
“To be honest with you, the response is overwhelming and we are working to give our fans the best,” he said.
He is happy that the album will soon be on iTunes for the first time in his career.
“That will be my first album to be on such a platform and to me it is a great improvement,” he said.
For him the album has broken new ground as a number of international shows have been lined up.
“ You will niotice that this year we will have a number of international shows. I would not want to talk about all the shows as of now,” he said.
Dendera musician Suluman Chimbetu and sungura musician Herbert Majeke will be part of the gig.
All the musicians said they were happy to be part of the gig that is likely to attract thousands of music lovers. Chimbetu, through his publicist Joe Nyamungoma, said that was the biggest show of the week and fans should come in their numbers.
“The two musicians bring something exciting whenever they meet and on this show fans are assured of something new,” he said.
