SUPERSTAR, Jah Prayzah has once again captivated his legion of fans, this time with the striking visuals for his new song Kuno, released on Monday, sending social media into a frenzy.
Featuring his daughter Kayla as a young video vixen alongside acclaimed actress Tendaishe Chitima, Jah Prayzah seamlessly blended his personal and professional worlds. Kayla portrayed the enduring power of ancestors who guide the living, a role she embraced with the poise of a seasoned performer. Her portrayal made the storyline accessible even to non-Shona speakers.
Directed by Umsebenzi KaBlaqs and Dir Dave, the video excels in all areas, including sound, lighting, scripting and production. Jah Prayzah’s commitment to excellence is evident, with Victor Stot producing a mellower, catchy beat that complements Jah Prayzah’s flawless vocals.
Known for valuing high-quality visuals, Jah Prayzah enlisted Chitima, whose acting credentials include leading roles on South Africa’s SABC 1, 2 and 3, EbonyLife TV, and Mzansi Magic. Chitima’s skillful performance added emotional depth to the video.
Costume designer, Shylete Ndarambwa’s impressive work enriched the production, perfectly complementing the video’s spiritual tone. Jah Prayzah also partnered with internationally acclaimed, Jacque Mgido Cosmetics.
The track is part of his forthcoming album Ndini Mukudzeyi, set for release this Saturday at Old Hararians Sports Club in Harare.
Fans reacted with unbridled excitement upon the video’s release, praising Jah Prayzah’s creative vision and execution. One fan, @thatskeane, wrote: “The greatest Zimbabwean artiste to ever live. Meanwhile, fun is guaranteed at the Ndini Mukudzeyi launch this weekend, with performances from Feli Nandi, Seh Calaz and Shashl. Feli Nandi, a sought-after diva, has consistently wowed audiences since her days as a session musician. Now, she commands corporate attention and headlines her own shows, demonstrating remarkable growth since collaborating with Ashton “Mbeu” Nyahora.

Adding to the excitement, surprise acts are expected, with celebrated dance director Kuda the Choreographer also tipped to steal the spotlight.
