Dynamos vice-captain Emmanuel Jalai is confident they will redeem themselves from their opening loss to Highlanders at Barbourfields on Sunday.
DeMbare were humbled 2-1 in a match they looked out of sorts for the better part of the game in front of an overwhelming crowd.
They lacked motivation, intent, and will to make things work in their favour as their efforts were not enough to earn them a positive result.
Jalai was the stand-in captain after Frank Makarati was ruled out due to injury.
Midfielder Tanaka Shandirwa was also not part of the squad.
However, Jalai said the team gave it all and it was just not their day.
“It was a good game and a better team won. Credit to my teammates they gave it all though we lost there are positives to pick up,” he said.
Jalai believes the new additions to the club will find their feet after having a difficult start.
New acquisitions Nomore Chinyerere, Temptation Chiwunga, Fredrick Ansa-Botchway, and Alexander Mandinyenya were all given their debut starts.
Mandinyenya managed to grab the solitary goal and register his name on the score sheet.
Comeback kid, Valentine Kadonzvo was given a starting nod though things did not go as planned and he was subbed for Keith Madera in the 33rd minute after failing to adjust to the game.
“There are new guys who joined the team this season and you know what it is like to play for Dynamos. But I can say everyone gave it all and everything will go well for the team in the next encounters.
Jalai said Dynamos have depth in their squad and everyone deployed to play is capable of doing the job.
“If you look at the squad we have depth, whosoever is chosen to play can do the work. It was just a bad day in the office but all the players gave their all and the result did not come our way.
“In our next fixture we are looking forward to having a positive result and making our fans happy,” he said. DeMbare is set to host Hwange in their next fixture.
