Janet Manyowa to share stage with CeCe Winans

“Phenomenon” is undoubtedly Janet Manyowa’s middle name. The songbird is set to headline for Grammy award-winning artist CeCe Winans, who is set to thrill gospel music fans this August.

The American music icon is  expected to make her debut appearance in the country .

The American gospel queen’s 17 Grammy Awards are the most such accolades ever won by a female gospel singer and she has also won 31 GMA Dove Awards, 16 Stellar Awards, Seven NAACP Awards and four Billboard Music Awards.

She was a close friend of Whitney Houston and performed at the superstar’s funeral.

Cece Winans has been inducted into the Black Music & Entertainment Hall Of Fame and has a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.

She is set to perform on August 26.

Organisers are promising an unforgettable night of worship, praise, and celebration.

“Zimbabwe is beautiful and so it will be an experience for her to just be in Zimbabwe,” said gospel promoter, Lincoln Kapswara.

“She is one of the most accomplished and celebrated women in modern music history. She is a best seller and has accumulated 17 Grammys, 31 Dove Awards, 16 Stellar Awards, and much more!

Zimbabwe is proving to be a prominent touring destination for top American gospel artists, thus boosting local tourism and the country’s image-building initiatives.

Lincoln Kapswara continues, “Travis Green was here last month for the ‘Made a Way’ decade tour and we have hosted him here before. In August we will have Cece Winans here at the celebration centre it’s going to be an amazing event, August 26, Cece Winans will be here.”CeCe Winans tour comes after similar visits by other American gospel artists including Kirk Franklin and Maverick City Music in August last year.
