Making an impromptu appearance on New York City’s Hot 97 dial, Hov addressed the situation live on the air.
“Yeah, we had a fight,” Hov told Hot 97’s Angie Martinez.
“I kind of want to spend a gazillion dollars (too). I want to spend, too. I made it (laughing).”
All jokes aside, the Post’s allegations weren’t any laughing matter. The New York tabloid had a source claiming that West wants a flashy production in a show that would cost more than US$400 000, while Jay preferred to keep costs down.
Jigga insists, though, that while he and Kanye disagree from time to time, it’s all out of love and delivering the best product. He also denied rumours of him actually hitting Kanye during the disagreement.
“Kanye is my brother,” Jay continued telling Martinez.
“Yes, we get on each other’s nerves, but that part of pushing each other. People who have problems with Kanye or myself are complacent in life. They don’t like to push.
“They don’t want to be greater and we’re pushing each other to be great. But that’s in the studio. I have so much respect for him, I wouldn’t put my hands on him. Never, no way.”
