TRIANGLE forward Jayden Bakari could be on the move before the close of the mid-season transfer window.
Several Castle Lager Premier Soccer League clubs are monitoring his situation after the arrival of the Genesis Mangombe-led technical team.
Mangombe recently joined Triangle from Dynamos where they settled for a mutual separation after the club had suspended him after a barrage of allegations, which they later dropped.
Mangombe is said to have recommended Jairos Kasondo, who was at Dynamos.
Kasondo is on six goals while Bakari has scored three goals in Triangle colours.
Sources close to the player say Bakari has emerged as a transfer target for a number of local clubs eager to bolster their attacking options ahead of the second half of the season.
“There is genuine interest from a number of PSL clubs.
“Jayden wants a project where he can play regularly and continue developing.
“Nothing has been signed yet, but there have been positive discussions and we expect things to move quickly in the coming days.”
The source added that the Bakari remains committed to Triangle.
“He is fully professional and remains focused on Triangle until anything is finalised.
“He respects the club because they gave him an opportunity, but every player wants to grow and this is one of those moments where he has to consider the next step in his career.”
Bakari joined Triangle with high expectations after previously establishing himself as one of Zimbabwe’s promising young forwards, having won the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League’s Most Promising Player award in 2022.
Triangle are preparing for their game against Hardrock on Sunday.
They are currently at the bottom of the league with 11 points after 22 outings.
