AFRO jazz artist, Brian Nyahuma, said his new single aims to promote timeless cultural and traditional values which celebrate the beauty of relationships between men and women.
Tilted “Mambara,” the single was released on January 21.
In an interview, Nyahuma said he believes in the power of music to help transform lives with positive creative messages.
“My music promotes social justice and human development.
“This uplifting song aims to promote cultural values, traditions, norms and beliefs that celebrate the beauty of relationships between men and women, as ordained by God.
“Mambara reminds listeners of the importance of respecting the natural order of relationships.
“The song encourages young people, particularly our sons and daughters to embrace traditional values and avoid the pitfalls of modern society.
“Through ‘Mambara’, I seek to inspire the new generation to appreciate the wisdom of their ancestors and the teachings of their faith.
“The song’s message is clear − men and women were created to love and respect each other and this fundamental truth is essential for building strong and healthy relationships and communities.
“I’m thrilled to share ‘Mambara’ with the world.
“This song is a labour of love and I hope it will inspire young people to cherish their cultural heritage and traditional values.”
He has seven albums to his name − “So They Say,” “Ndingatii Zvangu,” “Hausi Wega,” “Yambirika Listen,” Toyambukira, “Tora Rudo” and “Rwendo”.
“Rwendo addresses issues like mental health, child marriages, sexual harassment, climate change, drugs and substance abuse,” he said.
