JAZZ musician Agenda Maphosa has released his second single of the year, Amai Tadiwa which is his last as he has started working on his third album.

The track follows Presser/Pusher/Phanda, a collaboration that featured eight diverse artistes and was released earlier this year.

Amai Tadiwa is an acoustic track that is in three languages, Shona, Ndebele and English.

Maphosa said this latest single will be his last release this year as he starts working on his third album to be released next year.

“Amai Tadiwa is an apology song from a guy to his woman. The guy made a lot of mistakes so he’ll be trying to make up by winning his woman back through confessing his wrong habits.

“On this track, I decided to go solo because it’s also important to weigh one’s strength and abilities as an artiste. This is my second and last single this year because I need as much time to work on my third album,” he said.

Maphosa said he is grateful to Msiz’Kay of Woo Haa Studios who produced the song, Thami Khumalo who played the acoustic, Sehliselwe Tshuma who backed the vocals and Sa Dee Lenswork who did the single’s photography. – @mthabisi_mthire
