JMN comes out tops at Tesaz Games

The athletics events are over at the ongoing Technical Education Sports Association of Zimbabwe (Tesaz) Games being hosted by the Zimbabwe School of Mines and attention is now on other sporting disciplines.

Some of the highlights from the track and field events held at White City Stadium were Wilima Mpunzi from Zimbabwe School of Mines who won the 100m women final in 13,47 seconds.

In the men’s category Tatenda Tavingeyi representing Gweru Polytechnic was the winner in11,09 seconds.

Blessed Mukodza from Harare Polytechnic ran a time of 22,38 seconds to win the 200m final.
In second position was Brian Masunda who crossed the finish line in 22,78 seconds.

Sokoluhle Dube from Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo Polytechnic claimed gold in the women’s long jump. Her distance was 4,57m.

In the men’s category gold went to Zimbabwe School of Mines’ Peter Gumbo who jumped 6,10m.
