Joint SADC-EAC Summit opens

A SADC-East African Community virtual joint summit aimed at resolving the conflict in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo is running this evening.

The summit is being co-chaired by SADC chairperson, President Mnangagwa and his EAC counterpart, Kenyan President William Ruto.

The joint summit has gone into closed door deliberations after the co-chairs delivered their opening remarks, giving an overview of the summit.
