Jomo Sonoaï¿½ï¿½s crosshairs on Mukuruva

DYNAMOS chairman Kenny Mubaiwa says the team is yet to get a call from South Africaaï¿½ï¿½s Jomo Cosmos who are reportedly interested in their goal minder Tatenda Mukuruva.

Mukuruva has done duty for DeMbare as well as the national team. However, his debut match for the 2016 season saw him letting in three goals when Dynamos went down to Chicken Inn.

aï¿½?I think that is mere speculation. Cosmos have not approached us. They are yet to officially do that if they are to do so. We are a big club and if they do approach us we will talk to them but at the moment we cannot talk of anything to that effect,aï¿½? said Mubaiwa.

aï¿½?As a professional club we are in football business. We release the whole squad to foreign clubs if they are going to pay us handsomely. Players need greener pastures like everyone else,aï¿½? he said.

Mzansiaï¿½ï¿½s weekly tabloid Soccer Laduma reported on Monday that Jomo Cosmos were after Zimbabwe national team goalkeeper.

Quoting a source reportedly close to the keeper and also known to the team, the publication saidAï¿½ Jomo Sono (owner of Jomo Cosmos) noticed the player when doing duty for the national team at the Afcon qualifiers against Swaziland in Mbabane.

aï¿½? He is only 22 years old and has a great future ahead of him. Bra JAï¿½ (Jomo Sono) likes him and the team wants to bring him on board for next season. Of course it will depend on the negotiations between Cosmos and Dynamos because normally Dynamos charge a lot of money for their players but Cosmos are really interested in the player,aï¿½? the source was quoted as saying.

Mukuruva was between the sticks as the Warriors mauled Swaziland 4-0.

Meanwhile, anotherAï¿½ red-hot Zimbabwe international Khama Billiat is reportedly set to extend his stay at Sundowns when his contract expires at the end of the season.

Billiataï¿½ï¿½s contract expires at the end of Mzansiaï¿½ï¿½s 2015/16 season but Sundowns have an option of extending by two more years.

The skillful winger, in an interview with KickOff, said he still had a dream of moving to Europe but must reach his full potential at Sundowns.
