IT was an emotional night for Josephine Mabaleka on Thursday last week, as she fought hard to hold back the tears during the premiere of the documentary which chronicles the football and music life of her late husband Tymon Mabaleka.
As the documentary went public last Thursday in Bulawayo during a premiere, yesteryear memories of the times the couple shared together flooded the mind of Josephine, as she reminisced the old days.
So emotional was Josephine that she fought hard to hold back the tears during an interview with The Zimpapers Sports Hub.
A documentary produced by Albert Chiwandamira titled Tymon Mabaleka: A man of all seasons premiered last week at a packed venue in Bulawayo.
“The documentary brought back the memories of my late husband.
“And at one time during the play of the documentary felt like crying, as I was emotional and at the same time I was happy with honor that has been given to my late through the documentary,” said Josephine Mabaleka

Josephine recounted the days that almost made her cry a decade after she lost her husband.
“We were like best friends, he was my soulmate, when the documentary was played, my mind went back thinking of him, the good things that we shared and it also reminded me of his football career.
“It took me back to the days where I would sit in the stadium and cheer him up,” she said.
Described the former football star as a dedicated man who loved his football and music, saying nothing would separate him from his love of football and music.
“After watching the documentary, I felt so proud of him.
“Tymon was dedicated to what he did whether it was music or his football and at home as a family man,” said.
Music was in his blood, he used to sing and as of football he grew up playing football, and those two were inseparable to him.
“I would say he lived his music and football dream,” said Josephine Mabaleka.
