Judo Association of Zimbabwe gears up for Japanese Ambassador Cup, expecting 200 athletes from 25 clubs

JUDO Association of Zimbabwe president Smart Deke has said they are expecting a bigger event as they prepare for the Japanese Ambassador Cup set for September 27 in Harare.

The annual tournament is held by JAZ in conjunction with the Japanese Embassy.

It will be held at The Grange Christian School.

Deke said they are looking forward to a bigger event with Botswana and Zambia expressing interest to be part of the event.

“We are expecting our neighboring countries to come and participate as Botswana and Zambia have expressed interest to come and take part.

“We have 25 clubs that we are expecting to come and participate and close to 200 judo athletes participating,” said Deke.
