ZIMBABWE international star striker Khama Billiat is expected to make his 40th appearance for Kaizer Chiefs Wednesday night as Amakhosi resume their quest to clinch the 2019/2020 ABSA Premiership title.

Chiefs have 48 points from 22 matches, while defending champions Sundowns, who drew against Orlando Pirates on Tuesday, have 45 from the same number of matches.

Amakhosi gaffer Ernest Middendorp is expected to make full use of the deadly combination of Billiat and Leonardo Castro as he seeks to guide Chiefs to a win that should edge them closer to their first league title in five years.

Chiefs, who now have the momentum after Sundowns’ draw against third-placed Pirates, last won the league title in 2015.

Billiat has recovered from a nagging injury and is tipped to make his 40th appearance for Kaizer Chiefs.

The Warriors star player has scored six league goals at Chiefs since joining from Mamelodi Sundowns on July 1 2018.

Another Zimbabwean, Willard Katsande, is also expected to make the starting line-up for Chiefs, who have no injury concerns going into the last eight rounds of the 2019/2020 season, which resumed on Tuesday after a five-month absence due to the coronavirus.
