JUST IN: Man killed in hit and run accident

A HWANGE man died after he was hit by a car in a hit and run accident.

Police confirmed the incident which occurred on July 31 along Independence Road in Hwange.

“A 43 year old man was hit by an unknown motorist along independence Road on 31 July. The victim sustained some serious injuries and he succumbed to the injuries on 1 August at St Patrick’s Hospital.

“In another incident which occurred on 2 August at around 5am a man aged 45 was hit by an unknown motorist at Skyline Tollgate along Beatrice Road. The victim died on the spot and the driver did not stop. We would like to warn motorists against hit and run accidents,” said the police.
