Kadewere axed from Warriors squad

Warriors forward Tino Kadewere, who physically assaulted journalist Yvonne Mangunda at Orlando Stadium yesterday, has been dropped from the team that will play against Rwanda this afternoon.

The two teams are clashing in a 2026 World Cup qualifier at the Johannesburg venue at 3pm.

While Zimbabwe and Rwanda are already out of contention for a place at the global fiesta, they still have a lot to play for.

However, the build-up has been overshadowed by Kadewere’s indiscipline after he poked Mangunda on her chest and hurled insults at her for reportedly pointing out his inconsistent performances for the Warriors.

As a result, Kadewere will not be part of today’s proceedings.

Warriors First 11 against Rwanda

Washington Arubi, Emmanuel Jalai, Jordan Zemura, Gerald Takwara, Munashe Garananga, Prosper Padera, Marshal Munetsi, Knowledge Musona, Tawanda Chirewa, Tawanda Maswanhise, Thando Ngwenya
