Kadewere replaces Masocha at Starbill

Takudzwa Chitsiga Sports Reporter
WORLD Navi Northern Region Division One side Starbill have appointed Prince Kadewere as their assistant coach.
The Lloyd Chitembwe-coached side have had no assistant coach since the departure of Ikabort Masocha who joined DStv Rangers as head coach three weeks ago.Kadewere has been working with the Starbill juniors as the coach but head coach Chitembwe recommended his elevation to the higher post which he assumed from yesterday.

Kuda Mugari, the Starbill team manager, confirmed they will now have Kadewere as their assistant coach.

“We have agreed to elevate our former juniors coach Kadewere to the assistant coach position and he is expected to start work anytime soon,” said Mugari.

“We have agreed with the head coach, who recommended Kadewere to take up the post, and I hope this will give the young coach an opportunity to work with some senior players.

“Kadewere has been with us and he was the head coach of the academy since it was Skylink so we hope he will add some value to the team.  As a former player at the team he will add value with his knowledge and I believe he will gain some experience by working with someone of Chitembwe’s calibre.

“The experience he will gain will be good for his career as well.”

Starbill will be looking for a change of fortunes as they are lying in mid-table and have managed three wins, drawn four and lost three.
