THE 113th edition of Kadoma Agricultural Show has been deferred to October 1-3 after clashing with the Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Service National Prisons Day commemorations.
The show was initially scheduled for September 24-26, with the official opening set for tomorrow.
In a statement, Kadoma Agricultural Show Society (KASS) chairman Mr Temptation Maketa said the event would now be held at the Kadoma Agricultural Show Grounds, with the official opening taking place on October 3.
Mr Maketa said the change followed notification that ZPCS will hold its National Prisons Day celebrations in Rimuka, Kadoma, on September 26 and 27.
“A clash of National Events has necessitated this unavoidable change,” he said.
“We have been officially notified that the Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Service (ZPCS) will be holding their National Prisons Day Celebrations in Rimuka, Kadoma on the 26th and 27th September 2026, which directly coincided with our Official Opening Day.”
He said KASS has decided to move the agricultural show to allow the national event to proceed without disruption.
Mr Maketa apologised to exhibitors, stakeholders, participants, sponsors, farmers, the business community, Government departments and members of the public for any inconvenience caused by the change.
He said all stands and bookings already made will remain valid for the new dates.
“Preparations are at an advanced stage and this year’s Show will be bigger and better,” Mr Maketa said.
The annual agricultural show brings together farmers, agro-businesses, Government departments and other stakeholders to showcase agricultural products, equipment, technologies and services.
