Kadoma man arrested for bestiality

A 28-YEAR-OLD man from Tolrose Compound, Kadoma has been arrested for allegedly breaking into a goat pen at night, undressing, and sexually violating a white she-goat, before fleeing and leaving his clothes behind when the owner approached.
The National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ) in a statement on X confirmed the appearance of Edward Chitivha before the Kadoma Magistrates’ Court facing bestiality charges.
“Allegations are that on the 12th of August 2024 at around 1600 hours, at plot 9 Blagdon Farm Eiffel flats, the complainant Isheunesu Shangudze (40) penned his five goats. During the night, the accused person entered into the goat pen, removed his clothes and placed them on the ground. He tied a white she goat’s legs to a pole, before he violated the goat. The complainant who was sleeping in his house heard the goat crying and went out to investigate. The accused person ran away leaving his clothes behind, when he heard the complaint approaching. A police report was made, leading to the arrest of the accused person (sic),” said the NPAZ.

Edward Chitivha was remanded in custody and will appear in court on 17 September 2024.
