Kadoma man kills wife, pregnant daughter

A Kadoma man stabbed to death his wife and nine months pregnant daughter following a domestic dispute.

The suspect, Obert Namurokosi (45) has since been arrested in connection with the murder cases.
Police have since identified the victims as Cynthia Namurokosi (45) and Takudzwa Namurokosi (23).
National police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident.

“The ZRP confirms the arrest of Obert Namurokosi in connection with two cases of murder which occurred on May 3, 2026, in Victory Park, Kadoma.

“The suspect allegedly had a domestic dispute with his wife, Cynthia Namurokosi, who sought refuge at their daughter, Takudzwa Namurokosi’s residence on May 2.

“The following day, the suspect reportedly followed her there, armed with a kitchen knife and attacked both victims. He allegedly stabbed his daughter, who was nine months pregnant, multiple times before turning on his wife, whom he stabbed in the neck. Both victims succumbed to the injuries,” he said.
