ZAMBIAN expatriate coach Kevin Kaindu feels his How Mine charges have a tough battle on their hands when they take on Chapungu in a Chibuku Super Cup quarter-final match at Ascot this afternoon. Kaindu won the Mbada Diamonds Cup with Highlanders in 2013.

“Chapungu are a difficult team to beat at Ascot, they are a team which play very well at that stadium and we need to be at our best to have a chance. They are at this stage of the tournament after beating FC Platinum at Mandava and that shows they are a good team which cannot be underrated. This is a Cup game and we just need to take our chances to progress, there will be no draw, someone has to win. It is going to be a competitive game of football and we just hope God will help us to progress to the next stage of this tournament,” said Kaindu. Chapungu coach Tendai Chikuni said the goldminers posed a real threat.

“This is a Cup game and it is always difficult to approach. We won in the first round against FC Platinum but this match is a different ball game altogether. The opponents are different and the way we approach the game tactically is going to be different. But we have prepared very well for them and I am optimistic that we have a chance of progressing to the next stage of this tournament,” he said. The match is likely to attract a huge crowd after the gate charges were reduced to $2 for the cheapest ticket.
