DYNAMOS coach Genesis “Kaka” Mangombe has been speaking with confidence whenever he has been asked about this coming Sunday’s titanic clash against Scottland.

He is sure his players are grasping his ideas.

Mangombe is also sure most of the new players at DeMbare are now aware of what it means to wear the famous blue-and-white jersey.

And he now wants his boys to prove they deserve to play for the Glamour Boys.

The youthgul gaffer is targeting his second major piece of silverware after leading Dynamos to glory in the 2023 Chibuku Super Cup.

Mangombe also led Triangle United to last year’s Chibuku Super Cup final.

“Cup finals are always difficult,” Mangombe said.

“Sunday’s game is one which we cannot experiment. We just have to play to win.”

Dynamos paraded some of their new signings when they lost 0-1 against rivals Highlanders at Barbourfields on February 15.

DR Congo defender Isaac Landu, former Triangle United star Witness Shave and ex-Yadah forward Mandlenkosi Mlilo played at Barbourfields.

Malawian import Stanley Billiat also came on as a second-half substitute.

Winger Callum English Brown was an unused substitute. It has emerged that Dynamos are yet to finalise a deal with the Legends Academy product.

“As for Callum, it’s like we are finalising his papers very soon.

“He will be contracted to Dynamos very, very soon. “And if all goes on well, we also need him to play this cup final on Sunday,” said Mangombe.

He added:

“We have been preparing accordingly but at the end of the day there will be one winner.

“We have a new squad and we’ve been trying combinations and also seeing how best we can come up with the best out of the players.

“But the system is now on their fingertips, they now understand what needs to be done in certain zones on the field of play.

“So I think we are ready for this cup game.”

On Sunday, he will pit his wits against Norman Mapeza, who assumed the reigns at Scottland, following the departure of championship-winning gaffer Tonderai Ndiraya.

Mapeza has retained the bulk of the players who won the historic league title including top striker Tymon Machope, Walter Musona, Terrence Dzvukamanja and Panashe Mutimbanyoka

Veterans Knowledge Musona and Khama Billiat are still at Mabviravira.
