Karting on at Donnybrook

Sports Reporter
TOMORROW will see more kart racing at Donnybrook Raceway in Harare where Swift have generously sponsored the whole race day and many karters are expected to compete in this prestigious meeting.
Ten Cadet karters are expected to be racing, all 11 years old or under. Watch out for the current leader, Luke Rousseau. He is being hunted down by several other competitors such as the Mliswa brothers Samuel and David, and Bradley Hockey and Xavier Alves, who are all competitive drivers.

It’s encouraging to see these youngsters learning the sport and racing so hard!
The “Battle of the Miniroks” will surely continue between Cameron Revolta and Zac Dufty, each of whom have the championship in their sights.

These two lads will really be dicing for the lead, which may lead to some “fireworks” on the track! Stiff competition presents itself with Danica Hockey and Kalvin Mukandiona hot on their heels.

Keegan Davie continues his racing against Isabella Savo and Rogan Hoffmanns in the Junior class. These three are very closely followed by Ben Ferreira and Daniel Lanca, who are also vying for the best positions.

This will possibly present spectators with some of the best racing of the day as these racers are known to provide daring moves, to try and gain or retain, position on the track.

Seniors and Masters will again race together this weekend, with father and son racers Brendon and Michael McConnell, and Maurizio and Ale Savo ignoring family ties as they race towards the chequered flag!

Other names to watch in these races will be Brett Olsen, Muller Ferreira and Rob Weston.
