Ex-Warriors player Edzai Kasinauyo yesterday officially split with his wife after the High Court endorsed the end of their 12-year marriage.
Justice Alfas Chitakunye put to bed the marriage with the consent of both parties.
Faith Esthma Kasinauyo nee Makoni had filed for divorce in the higher court pleading irreconcilable differences.
The couple agreed to settle for divorce without going to trial in a case in which Kasinauyo will enjoy the rights to visit his two children while property will be shared.
In her motion for divorce, Makoni said the marriage had irretrievably broken down.
She said as a couple they have not enjoyed marital privileges for six months.
According to the deed of settlement, Makoni will keep custody of their two children while Kasinauyo is granted visitation rights on agreed days.
Kasinauyo will contribute $500 in maintenance per child every month and will also be responsible for paying their school fees and clothing until completion of tertiary education.
Kasinauyo will retain his Greenstone property in South Africa.
Makoni takes a Chadcombe property in Harare, but will be registered in the children’s names. She consented to transfer her 50 percent shareholding and resign from her position as director in Fejay Investments (Pvt) Limited.
The parties further agreed that Kasinauyo will pay Makoni $20 000 over 20 months to bear own costs.
