Kazembe decries violence

ZANU-PF Mashonaland Central provincial chairperson Cde Kazembe Kazembe has urged Zimbabweans to shun violence and act responsibly as Government is looking at the challenges that the country is facing and will soon come up with solutions.

This follows a wave of demonstrations last week which were organised by the Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions and MDC-Alliance which left a trail of destruction across the country.

Speaking after a provincial coordinating committee meeting held in Bindura during the weekend, Cde Kazembe said as the provincial leadership they discussed the state of affairs currently prevailing in the country, and what Government is doing to address the situation.

“As Zanu-PF, we are responsible citizens and we must act responsibly. We don’t want violence. We have discussed with the leadership that we should tell our party members that we should live in peace and harmony as we have done since 1980,” he said.

“The meeting was for leadership to discuss the state of affairs currently prevailing in the country and where the situation is emanating from.” .

He said as a party they resolved that they would tell the people the correct position on the ground following the disturbances that rocked the country, leaving a trail of destruction.

Cde Kazembe added that the meeting looked at other challenges that the country was facing as well as the solutions that Government was offering so that the country moves forward.
