Kazembe’s son scoops Cambridge awards

HOME Affairs and Cultural Heritage Minister Kazembe Kazembe’s son, Phil, has clinched several top awards from Cambridge International Education following his sterling performances in Advanced Subsidiary (AS) level examinations.

In a congratulatory email, his school, St John’s College, said: “It gives us great pleasure to advise you that Phil has received a whole series of prestigious awards from Cambridge International Education. In the past November examination series, your son was awarded the ‘Top in Zimbabwe’ award for AS Biology and AS Physics. He was also the top student in the world for AS Chemistry.

“This means that he also received the best across four subjects result.”

St John’s College, a top private school in Harare, said they were proud of Phil after his exploits.

“This achievement is extraordinary, to receive one of these prizes is outstanding and to receive this many is nothing short of astounding,” said the college.

Phil will now be honoured at a congratulatory reception hosted by Cambridge International for the outstanding learners.

The parents have been invited to attend the reception.
