Kenya received 358,000 doses of the Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine from Denmark on Monday night.
Speaking while receiving the vaccines at the airport, The Ministry of Health noted that the arrival of the vaccines is expected to boost the ongoing second dose vaccination exercise that commenced late last month.
Kenya started immunizing its people in March after receiving 1 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine from India.
The doses arrived just days after concerns were raised about a shortage of COVID-19 vaccines to be distributed as second doses to healthcare workers and other frontline workers. – AFRICA CGTN
