Khama recovering

JOHANNESBURG. — Mamelodi Sundowns player Khama Billiat has checked out of hospital after suffering a concussion at the weekend. Billiat was knocked out when he collided with Free State Stars goalkeeper Daouda Diakite as he scored Sundowns’ opening goal in a 3-1 win for the Brazilians at Lucas Moripe Stadium. The Zimbabwean was replaced by Mogakolodi Ngele and rushed to hospital on Saturday night.

“We took Billiat to hospital and he regained consciousness before he was treated,” Downs communications co-ordinator Thulani Thuswa tells KickOff.com.

“But he is well and is recovering. Our next match is one December 16 and the break will allow time to do a scan and assess him without any worry of an upcoming match.” The Tshwane outfit will next face Kaizer Chiefs in the Telkom Knockout Final on December 16. — KickOff.com
